I recently reblocked this crocheted, embroidered muscle tee I designed and crocheted a couple summers ago. Check out this post on styling knit and crochet tank tops to see how the muscle tee fit pre-reblocking. The main issue is how the shoulder straps were “standing” up off of my shoulders.

Now, this top is crocheted in a linen yarn, which means it can be heat dried in a washer and dryer and in fact will soften more and more over time and gain more drape doing so, so washing it like that might have fixed the shoulders. (See this post for more info on crocheting with linen yarn.) But I decided to wet block again and hang the muscle tee on my dressmaker’s dummy once it was damp to help the shoulders be shaped at a slight angle.

You can compare the fit here to the pictures from the other post.

Isn’t this top so cute?! With recovery from wrist and arm surgery, I hadn’t planned on releasing any new patterns this summer, but fixing the fit on this top and pulling it out to wear it has made me consider releasing the pattern this summer. We’ll see!

Here it is untucked so you can see the length. It would make a great bathing suit cover up.
