A favorite cup of tea can make a morning. My go-to is a home-brew version of a London Fog. I’m not a big breakfast person, but I have reactive hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), so eating something after waking up is important. I mix equal parts Earl Grey tea with a vanilla protein shake for an added protein boost and top it off with a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of vanilla for coziness.

The scent of vanilla and Earl Grey together is calming to me. On a good morning, when I have it together, I take my time drinking my tea while I spend time scrolling Instagram and TikTok shame-free. By the time I finish, I’m usually ready to get into some work for the day.
