The Calla Button Up Boxy Top Pattern Is Here!

I’m so excited to share this pattern with you. It’s a reversible, boxy top available in two length options (cropped shown here) and a range of bust sizes from 28-66 inches.

You can find the pattern on Ravelry here.

I’d been wanting to design a simple boxy tee-style top with buttons for a while. The Calla Button Up Boxy Top has so many little details I love, like the shell stitch sections on one side, cuffed sleeves, and single crochet stitches along seams, giving them a “raw edge” look, and of course, a little bit of embroidery.

Calla is reversible, with a working button placket on one side and a deep v-neck on the other. I was surprised at how much I enjoy wearing the v-neck at the front. With Calla’s drape and gentle flare toward the bottom hem, the v-neck at the front and buttons up the back makes for a sweet, romantic sort of look. I think it might be my favorite way to wear the top!

The cropped length is show here, and the longer length adds approximately 3 inches to the hem.

Calla was designed through The Fibre Company‘s Yarn Support Programme, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. There was clear communication and support throughout the process. And the Cumbria Fingering Weight yarn worked up wonderfully, even with it’s wool-blend texture it crocheted smoothly and the finished garment has a lovely drape.

I hope you will enjoy making Calla. Such a sweet crocheted top suitable for breezy spring days and cool summer nights. Again, you can find the pattern on Ravelry here, and if you make it, be sure to use the hashtag #callabuttonupboxytop
