I thought I’d share a bit about some recent illustrations I’ve posted on my art Instagram here. First is this lovely vintage-inspired girl. I’m so pleased with the colors in this illustration and I have saved them in a palette to hopefully use in future illustrations. I’m really loving a muted yellow and pale peachy-pink together lately. I also really like how the flowers turned out here, and I’ve been playing around with the same style in some new drawings.

I’ve been working on lots of surface patterns lately, several inspired by my “save the bees” lettering art. I have some exciting plans for these!

This is one fashion figure for an embroidered crochet top collection/project I’m working on. I’ve since draw a couple more in this same sketchy style. I usually refine the sketch with a tidier line art, but I skipped that this time and really like the gentle effect, aided by the soft colors.

Another “save the bees” pattern.

These are three elements from another surface pattern I’ve designed. That pattern and a companion pattern have turned out to be some favorites so far. Again, I have exciting plans for these!
