Between my son’s school being cancelled for icy roads and snow (that didn’t happen) and a very persistent sinus infection, I’ve been left feeling very tired and worn, spread thin a little. And very behind on the editing side of a couple patterns. I’m hesitantly holding out hope that school doesn’t cancel any this week and my second round of antibiotics helps finally kick this congestion.

The above pattern is simple enough in make and construction, being just three rectangles plus lots of simple flowers to sew on. I’d hoped to get this one out before fall was over ( oh well, right?) But the colors do have a very springy look, and I think it will work fine for then.

The grading isn’t very hard either, I just need my brain to be awake and alert enough to focus and get it finished, while making sure all the numbers are right. Other than that, I still need to get pictures of it being worn and styled for the pattern PDF. I’m hoping to get all of this finished up this week.

As for the Lillian Skirt remake, I’ve still got to finish up the pockethole trim and sew the pockets. I’ve mainly waited on these tasks because I need to take pictures of the process for the pattern. This is a pretty quick part of the process, and after that I’ll need to get styling pics, edit grading and yardage, type up the pattern copy, etc.

I’ve updated the construction from the old version of this pattern and it’s so much simpler, but still has the same lovely look of the original iteration.

If you’d like, you can follow along with some of my process over on my Instagram, @talesofbutterflies.
