Waters Wears: First Fall Outfit of the Year
This past Saturday we had our first real fall-feeling weather, and I was excited because we planned on going to a local Oktoberfest event. I planned a simple outfit but with elements I was excited about – tee tucked into high-waisted jeans, new flannel button up, and the pale yellow/mauve pink color combo.
It was great for the chilly weather we had earlier in the day, and the cool, gentle breezes later on.
And the festival was fun. I don’t drink, but after an extended stay in Germany back in 2012 with my husband I have a real soft spot for the food, and they do a pretty good job of nailing it at this event. I was most excited for a local bakery’s soft pretzel. Soft pretzels are already a favorite snack of mine, but their’s is extra delicious – the size of your face with a flaky crust and soft bread inside. Ah, it was lovely. I could have one every day.
Fall weather is my favorite, second only to spring weather, but both are fleeting where I live, so I want to soak it up while it’s here.
