Summer Attire
Whew, long time no see to this little blog. Due to the fact that hubs and I are pregnant, and I basically sat out anything blog and social media related during the first trimester. I had no morning sickness, but the changing hormones exacerbated my hypoglycemia, and that along with the extreme tiredness led to those weeks being more about surviving, haha.
This type of outfit, t-shirt, shorts, has already become a pretty typical outfit for summer, for me. There’s really nothing special about it, except that the pieces are maternity and that it’s pretty comfortable. Usually, I lean toward wearing tank tops in the summer, but while I do have a few of those, shirts with sleeves help protect against the sunburn that my skin is even more prone to while pregnant.
I don’t know why, but I’ve also just always loved the look of maternity shorts; they tend to be a little bit looser at the cuffs. And I always like a nice striped shirt.
I’m trying to get back into the swing of capturing outfits and posting things. It’s been interesting adjusting what I wear to the needs of a fast-growing belly, because it seems like the clothing that works well changes almost day to day. I’m trying to use items I already own in creative ways or for as long as I can and not buy too many clothes I’ll only wear for a few months, while giving in and buying several basics that will hopefully last me at least a good chunk of the way through my pregnancy. I guess we’ll see how it goes. :)
