NEW PATTERN: The Joanie Reversible Beanie + What I Would Wear For Fall OOTD
New Pattern: The Joanie Reversible Beanie Crochet Pattern
I’m excited to share that the Joanie Reversible Beanie Pattern is finally live!
This one has been a long time coming, since I actually originally designed it over a year ago! Yes, Joanie is CROCHETED but in a stitch pattern that creates a knitlike fabric that’s just great for a squishy, warm, and cozy beanie.
Along with being reversible, it features some fun details, such as a little granny square patch on one side and a square leather (or fabric) patch on the other. Picture tutorials for how to make and attach these are included in the pattern.
The Joanie Reversible Beanie Pattern has instructions for sizes baby through adult, but can also be highly customizable. I’ve included directions for how to adapt the pattern measurements for any yarn/hook size – a beanie “recipe” of sorts.
You can find the pattern on Ravelry here!
Also check out the Ravelry link above to see more beanie pics and pattern details.
I thought it would be fun to style it with a fall weather ootd, so scroll to see some more pics.
Lovely little granny square detail.
The reverse side, a scrap leather patch. You can wear the beanie with the brim unfolded for a slouchier look, or add stitches to the rows to add height and create a longer, slouchier beanie.
We’re still, obviously, not going many places this fall, but I think in “normal” circumstances this outfit would be great for a Thanksgiving get together. You could always add some tights or leggings if you needed a bit more warmth.
The skirt and collar are actually part of a dress, one that I’ve had several years now, since before I had my son (who’s turning five later this week!). I’ve pulled a sweater overtop that I call the funfetti sweater, since it’s made of a white yarn with little tweedy flecks of color throughout. I actually tucked the bottom hem up into the dress’s waist tie to create a more cropped look.
I hope you enjoy the new Joanie beanie pattern and have fun styling your versions! Share with me if you do on Ravelry or on Instagram with the #joaniereversiblebeanie.
