More Digital Artwork
I’ve still been practicing and playing around with digital artwork since my #100dayproject. It seems it did kind of help make drawing more often again into a habit. I’ve been making an effort to specifically practice with digital art, and since my time between family and crochet design is limited, most artwork you’ll see from me lately will probably be digital.
The above is called “Untangling.” I love drawing artisans and crafters doing crafty things, so I will probably do more similar to this. Although, one thing, the colors came out a bit darker than most of what I’ve been making lately. When I printed a copy of this, it turned out looking much darker and duller than onscreen.
I’m really happy with this one. I loved playing around with subtle colors in the base layers, a bit of pencil-like shading, and I like the colors and polka dots! I think the freckles turned out well, and the hair, too. This one, however, seems to have the opposite problem to the one above; it could probably be a bit darker, or at least have some darker shading. I do like the overall pastel-ness, though. Still trying to find a balance, I guess, with color in digital.
