Looks For Fall

I did a little drawing series over on my Instagram of looks I like to wear during fall and winter. It was a fun little project; I enjoyed playing around with this drawing style and making the borders.

Here’s a round up of the drawings.

One of my favorite ways to wear an infinity scarf in the last few years – layered over a long pendant necklace.

I typically just scrunch or tuck in skinnies when wearing boots, but lately I’m loving wearing them cuffed with ankle boots.

A lightweight sweater tucked into a high-waisted skirt makes for a chic look.

Waters Wears: Last of the Holiday Lights

The Saturday after Christmas, I hung out with my friend, Kelsey, and we wound up at this little park. The lights were really pretty just before the evening went dark.

I really enjoyed this outfit, probably mainly because of the tights, a Christmas gift from my mother-in-law. I’ve been wanting some microfiber tights for a while now, so once I had some, I was ready to try them out.

This last picture was Kelsey’s idea. Turned out pretty cute.

Waters Wears: A Bit of Fall in Winter

fallinwinter1

It’s been in the thirties or lower around here lately, but this past weekend we had a few warmer days. It was honestly hard to believe we could be outside without heavy coats on and feel comfortable.

I got some pictures of Tanner, too, because, well, I kinda’ like him ;), and even though we didn’t stay outside very long (we’re both dealing with bad sinus infections right now) it was still a pleasant few moments.

After accidentally damaging one of my two pairs of boots, and having been looking for some nice boots for a while, I went with these from Minnetonka. They didn’t take long to break in at all, the insole is possibly the comfiest insole I’ve ever had in a shoe, and the fact that they lace up means they work for people with bigger or smaller calves and that you can wear them with leggings, jeans, thick socks, and several layers of material comfortably.

Hope you and yours are staying warm if it’s being ridiculously cold where you are. This winter’s supposed to be a doozy.

Waters Wears: Under The ~Fall~ Weather

red scarf 1

Just a quick outfit post today since I’m still battling a nasty sinus infection I’ve had since last Monday (and please excuse the red around my nose from having to use a tissue every minute or two). I thought I might be feeling a good bit better on Saturday, so Tanner and I went out to run errands and hang with some friends, then Sunday came and I still hadn’t kicked the infection. But oh well. This is what I wore Saturday. We’ve had some colder days so I got excited about wearing my new scarf, but Saturday was actually a bit warmer. The scarf was fine though, and hey it’s fall, the season where you can wear short sleeves and a scarf at the same time, right? Plus, I was just ready to wear something I’ve made again.

I was so excited about the change to fall weather, and then I immediately got sick. Haha.
